Cameratic Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 22, 2026
Cameratic ("we," "us," "our," or "the App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how Cameratic handles information when you use the app. By using Cameratic, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information Stored on Your Device
Cameratic stores content and settings needed for the app to function, such as:
- filter recipes and editing settings
- imported overlay selections and related preferences
- app settings and interface preferences
- purchase status needed to unlock premium features
This information is generally stored locally on your device unless otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy.
Camera and Photo Library Access
If you grant permission, Cameratic may access:
- your camera, so you can preview filters in real time and capture photos within the app
- your photo library, so you can import photos or overlays into filters, and save or export images
You control these permissions through your device settings and can revoke them at any time.
Face Data
Cameratic does not collect, create, store, or share biometric face data. This includes, for example, facial landmarks, face geometry, face templates, face recognition information, or other biometric identifiers.
If a user’s face appears in a live camera preview, captured photo, or imported image, that face is only part of the image itself. Cameratic does not extract that image into separate biometric face data.
Camera preview and filter rendering are performed on-device. Live camera frames are processed temporarily in memory and discarded after use unless the user explicitly captures, saves, exports, or shares a photo.
Cameratic does not upload biometric face data to our servers and does not share biometric face data with third parties.
Shared Filter Files and Exports
If you choose to share a Cameratic filter, export an image, or send a filter file to another person, the content you choose to share will be made available to the recipients or services you select.
Cameratic does not control how recipients, platforms, or third-party services store, use, or further share content after you send it.
Support and Beta Testing Information
If you contact support or participate in a TestFlight beta, we may receive information you provide, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message. TestFlight participation information is provided through Apple.
Crash and Diagnostic Data
Cameratic does not use third-party advertising SDKs or data brokers.
If you choose to share analytics with app developers through your Apple device settings, we may receive diagnostic, crash, and performance information from Apple to help improve the app.
Purchase Information
If you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your full payment card or billing information.
2. How We Use Information
We use information only as needed to provide and improve Cameratic, including to:
- create, save, edit, and display your filters and settings
- let you preview filters in real time and capture photos in the app
- import overlays or images you choose to use
- save, export, or share your edited content when you request it
- restore premium access associated with your App Store account
- respond to support requests and manage beta participation
- review crash, diagnostic, and performance information provided by Apple
We do not use biometric face data for identification, recognition, profiling, advertising, or marketing.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking technologies.
We may share information only in the following limited situations:
Apple Services
Apple may process information as necessary to provide App Store purchases, TestFlight, diagnostic reporting, and other platform services.
Sharing You Initiate
If you export an image, share a filter, or send content through Messages, Mail, AirDrop, Files, or another sharing method, the selected content is shared at your direction.
Legal Compliance
We may disclose limited information available to us if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
Face Data Sharing
Because Cameratic does not collect biometric face data, there is no biometric face data shared with third parties by Cameratic.
4. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
- App content and settings stored locally on your device remain on your device until you delete them, remove the app, or otherwise remove that data.
- Live camera preview frames are processed temporarily in memory during use and are not retained by us unless you explicitly capture and save or export an image.
- Captured, imported, or edited images are retained only where you choose to store them, such as your device photo library or files.
- Support communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain support records, and comply with legal obligations.
- Crash and diagnostic information received from Apple is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to analyze issues and improve the app.
Cameratic does not retain biometric face data.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by Cameratic.
- Data stored locally is protected by the security features of your device and operating system.
- Purchase processing is handled by Apple.
- We do not store payment card information on our own servers.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but we aim to minimize data collection and rely on Apple’s platform protections where possible.
6. In-App Purchases
Cameratic may offer premium features through in-app purchases. All purchase transactions are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices. We do not collect or store your payment information.
