Moments ("we," "us," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy and providing a safe experience. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Moments. Please read it carefully. By using Moments, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Data Stored on Your Device
Moments stores the content you create in the app, such as your moments, check-ins, tracked factors, preferences, and app settings, locally on your device.
iCloud Sync Data (Optional)
If you enable iCloud sync, your app data may be stored in your private iCloud database so it can sync across your devices. We do not directly access or view data stored in your private iCloud database.
Widget Data
If you use Moments widgets, limited app data may be made available to the widget extension on your device so the widget can display relevant content and support quick interactions. This data remains part of the app experience and is not shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
Support and Beta Testing Information
If you contact support or participate in a TestFlight beta, we may receive information you provide, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message. TestFlight participation information is provided through Apple.
Crash and Diagnostic Data (Optional)
Moments does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. If you choose to share analytics with app developers through your Apple device settings, we may receive anonymized diagnostic, crash, and usage information from Apple to help improve the app.
Purchase Information
If you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your full payment card or billing information.
2. How We Use Information
We use information only to provide and improve Moments, including to:
Store and display your moments, check-ins, and tracked factors
Sync your data across devices using iCloud, if enabled
Power widgets and quick logging features
Restore premium access associated with your App Store account
Respond to support requests and manage TestFlight participation
Review crash, diagnostic, and performance information provided by Apple
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, data brokers, or cross-app tracking technologies.
We may share information only in the following limited cases:
Apple Services
Apple may process information as necessary to provide App Store purchases, iCloud, CloudKit, TestFlight, analytics, and other Apple platform services.
Legal Compliance
We may disclose limited information available to us if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
4. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by Moments.
Data stored locally is protected by the security features of your device and operating system.
Data synced through Apple services such as iCloud and CloudKit is protected by Apple’s security systems, including encryption in transit and at rest where applicable.
We do not store payment card information on our own servers.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but we strive to minimize data collection and rely on Apple’s platform protections where possible.
5. In-App Purchases
Moments may offer premium features through in-app purchases. All purchase transactions are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices. We do not collect or store your payment information.
6. Your Choices and Controls
You can control your information in several ways:
Delete App Data
You can delete moments, check-ins, and other content within the app. You can also uninstall the app to remove locally stored data from your device.
Manage iCloud Data
If you use iCloud sync, you can manage your iCloud storage and app data through your Apple account and device settings.
Turn Off Analytics Sharing
You can disable Apple’s device analytics sharing by turning off “Share with App Developers” in your device settings.
7. Children’s Privacy
Moments is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us directly, please contact us so we can address the issue.
8. International Users
Moments may be used in countries outside the United States through Apple’s App Store and iCloud services. Any information handled through Apple services is subject to Apple’s infrastructure and privacy practices.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will post the updated version here and revise the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of Moments after an update means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
